The Police Crackdown Bill is a direct attack on our right to protest. It will undermine our fight for equality and against injustices.

I owe it to those who shaped my political activism, like the Women at Greenham Common Peace Camp, Women Against Pit Closures and those who marched against apartheid in South Africa, as much as to women now and in the future, to #KillTheBill.

While Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP‘s reasoned amendment that I co-signed wasn’t selected, I will still be voting against the Bill. It’s an attack on our democracy and it does not protect women.
