On #WindrushDay2021, we celebrate the huge contribution made by our Caribbean communities to the UK.
The Windrush Generation helped rebuild our country and create the NHS after WWII, and towns like Luton have benefited from rich cultural diversity ever since.
People deserve justice and timely compensation for the #WindrushScandal. The Government’s “systemic mismanagement” and “unacceptably slow” handling of the scheme has been appalling. It needs to be run by an independent body to restore faith in the process.
