I was pleased to join PCS DWP workers to express my support for their campaign against the closure of 42 DWP offices across the UK.

As Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office with responsibility for the Civil Service, I am working with Labour’s DWP team led by Shadow Secretary of State, Jon Ashworth MP, to scrutinise the Government’s decision-making. It is completely at odds with its stated ‘levelling up’ agenda and may lead to job cuts in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis.
